When Kate had her first child, she realized that he needed to learn outside of the lines of the traditional education system. It was then that her homeschool journey began. Having a good understanding of child development, Kate believes that all children should have the opportunity to learn in their own ways and based on their own interests.
On her path to homeschooling, Kate has become an educational advocate for children and is well versed in the differing needs of neurodiverse students.
She has successfully completed the New Hampshire Department of Education LETRS for Early Childhood Educators course in September 2024, which provides education on the science of reading and will provide the skills to aid students in early reading development.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, most recently working at an inpatient hospice house. Prior to nursing, Kate worked at an adult day care center and organized different activities for the disabled and elderly community. Kate's passion is to ensure that all individuals have what they need to be happy and successful.
Kate now has two children and would like to help grow social connections within the homeschool community and collaborate with parents to meet each child's unique needs.
